Golden Penny Foods, an iconic brand of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (FMN), has its attention drawn to a Profile Account on Twitter named “Errands and Personal shopper” @shopnerrand who is misrepresenting the Golden Penny pasta brand.
The said Twitter Account falsely posits that FMN or Golden Penny Foods produces unbranded spaghetti in sacks at cheaper prices for consumers and that the Account Holder is a dealer who engages in nationwide supplies of the alleged unbranded Golden Penny Spaghetti to interested members of the general public.
This is to notify all our Consumers, Customers, Stakeholders, and the General Public that Golden Penny Foods does not have any relationship whatsoever with the said profile account and the obvious misrepresentations therein about Golden Penny Foods which is fraught with malicious intent and calculated to mislead the unsuspecting general public.
Golden Penny is one of the largest food brands in Nigeria, offering great tasting and nutritious products to all our customers, and would never compromise on quality, marketing, and branding.
We do not produce or distribute any of our products including our spaghetti in unbranded packages for consumption and we encourage all our consumers to buy our well-packaged and hygienically produced Golden Penny products made in line with global best practices and standards from any of our trusted point of sales, contacts, or distributors.
Whilst we are taking immediate steps to notify the relevant regulatory authorities, please TAKE NOTICE that in no event shall FMN, owners of the iconic Golden Penny brand, and makers of the Golden Penny range of Food Products be liable for any special, direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages or any damages whatsoever, whether for an action in contract, negligence or other tort arising out of or in connection with any transaction, related to the foregoing.
