MIYAN KUKA RECIPE

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons baobab leaf powder (kuka)
- 500g beef (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 1 cup dried fish
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons ground crayfish
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- 2 tablespoons ground locust beans (dawadawa)
- 1 cup palm oil
- 5 cups of water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, add beef or goat meat and chopped onions.
- Season with one seasoning cube and a pinch of salt.
- Add 3 cups of water and cook until the meat is tender.
- Add the dried fish to the pot and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Stir in the ground crayfish, ground pepper, and ground locust beans (dawadawa).
- Add palm oil and simmer for another 3-5 minutes.
- Gradually sprinkle the kuka into the pot while stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
- Simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the soup thickens and the flavours blend beautifully.
- Taste the soup and adjust seasoning with salt if necessary.
