Golden Penny Food Festival 2025: A Day of Taste, Togetherness, and Culture

On July 26th, Ngwo Park in Uwani, Enugu, came alive with the Golden Penny Food Festival. It transformed into a haven of flavour, music, and shared joy as the Golden Penny Food Festival brought people together for a day that will live in our hearts for a long time.

From the moment you stepped into the park, you could feel the energy, the laughter, and the aroma of rich, steaming delicacies filling the air. Families sat under shaded canopies, sharing plates of food and stories.

Friends laughed over meals, reconnecting in the most beautiful way possible through good food. In the kiddies’ corner, the little ones played, painted, and danced with unrestrained joy.

The cultural display was a soul-stirring celebration of Igbo heritage, a vivid reminder of the beauty of the Igbo tradition.

Adding to the day’s excitement were masterclasses by culinary experts: Chef Faith of Eazi Kitchen, Chef Gaz Azah of Gazkitchen, and Chef Nengi of Nengi’s Kitchen. Each session offered practical lessons, from elevating traditional dishes to building a personal food brand online, reinforcing that the Golden Penny Food Festival 2025 was not just fun but full of learning too.

For many attendees, the festival became even more memorable as they went home with amazing prizes, from Golden Penny products to cooking appliances and cash rewards, leaving smiles that matched their full bellies.

With Funnybone and M.I.A. keeping everyone in stitches, and Marc Swagz hyping the crowd to a constant level 10, the festival energy stayed high all through the day.

As the sun dipped, the stage came alive. Professor Onye Egwu electrified the audience, Ugoccie delivered a top-tier performance, and when Jeriq took the stage, the park erupted. His presence sealed the Golden Penny Food Festival 2025 as a platform for spotlighting rising stars from the East.

This wasn’t just a food event. The Golden Penny Food Festival 2025 was about people, connection, culture, and the simple joy of coming together. It reminded us that when we share a meal, we share a piece of ourselves.
